Endometriosis and Sleep: Why You Feel Exhausted

Endometriosis affects an estimated 1 in 10 women of reproductive age, yet many people don't realize how significantly it can interfere with sleep. While pelvic pain and painful menstrual periods are hallmark symptoms, many individuals with endometriosis also struggle with insomnia, restless sleep, nighttime awakenings, and persistent daytime fatigue.

Unfortunately, the relationship between endometriosis and sleep is a two-way street. The condition can make it difficult to get restorative sleep, and poor sleep may worsen pain sensitivity, fatigue, and overall quality of life.
